Pownce Is Back now its called socialkloud its ood I was just going to give up, soup.io its good but more of a tumblr great to hold all my fun pix friendfeed is sweet but not as chatty and twitter is too chatty so apparently i had invites to what was called topixz so http://socialkloud.com/cyskopownce and http://socialkloud.com/cyskopownce

Announcing: Soup support group
Hi there!
Hope you like it here on Soup! I haven't been on Pownce but I joined this group because, being mostly new to Soup.io, you guys are kind of a main part of the "target group".
Though Soup is quite easy to handle, some things really are easier to figure out than others. Well, Soup.io already has a support/feedback site with Get Satisfaction. But sometimes, it would be nice to do this directly on Soup. So, the idea is this: Soup support -- for users, by users. You are invited to join, ask, friend, answer - whatever. Give a little, take a little, and so on.

feeling disjointed?
The biggest thing missing in Soup is "seeing my posts in my friends' stream". That was definitely cool about Pownce -- I could see my part mixed-in with the others. I see me on the "everyone" stream, but I don't know anyone out there.
With this simple peice missing, I feel completely disjointed from my community.
Do others feel the same way?
I'm clueless as to the amount of requests that Soup gets, but a checkbox to "add myself to my friends stream" seems like a good thing.

Pownce is Back (Sort of)
Today I opened up Firefox and I hadn't changed it from my Pownce being the front page and Shock of Shocks... My Pownce page was there.
On the top of the page was the bar they were canceling the service, only now it says "A temporary read-only version of the site is available for archival purposes (more info).
Thanks to everyone for making this community so wonderful. We appreciate your understanding!".
Upon following the link it took me to Pownce's Get Satisfaction account where they have decided that because of the importance of Permalinks that they will leave a read only version of pownce up for a limited time.
Maybe the Internet Archive should preserve the Pownce Archive for prosperity as so much digital history on the net is just deleted and lost never to be seen again.

Something reminiscent of the old service's Iconology like a P in a square speech bubble, but nothing that would cause 6 Apart to get in a snit.
My suggestion is the Bold letter 'P' with a little colour coordinated with the letter. Another thought is a semi-colon and letter 'P' that matches giving the ";P".

Another idea just hit me... We could be "X-P" both as an emoticon and as ex-Powncers.

Maybe the group could get a logo now so it will be easily recognized somewhere else, and maybe attract more users?
